Meet Dior – Smart, Athletic, and Full of Personality

Dior is a beautiful, one-year-old mixed-breed girl who is energetic, intelligent, and full of personality. She is athletic, confident, and thrives with structure and activity.

Dior is extremely smart and highly trainable. She learns quickly and responds well to clear expectations. For example, she initially became overly excitable around food and would lunge for her own bowl or approach our other dogs while they were eating. After two weeks of professional training (including use of a remote electronic training collar), she reliably respects boundaries during mealtimes. She also learned the “sit, stay, break” command in less than one minute (literally) and although she still gets excited at meal time she consistently waits for her release before going to her bowl. Just super smart.

Dior has also been wonderful with our three-legged Bengal cat, whom she adores. She understands how to interact appropriately and has shown good awareness around him.

Why we are rehoming Dior:

We already had two adult American Staffordshire Terriers when our daughter brought Dior home as a puppy. While Dior gets along with them the majority of the time, during moments of high excitement she can become reactive and has engaged in fights with one of our dogs. This behavior appears tied to over-arousal and intensity rather than general aggression, but it is serious and something we do not want to minimize.

Because of this, Dior would likely do best as the only dog in the home, or with an experienced owner who understands how to manage a confident, high-drive dog and can provide clear structure, leadership, and ongoing training. While she enjoys other animals, a multi-dog household without firm management may not be the right fit for her.

Dior is:

  • Extremely intelligent and eager to learn
  • Athletic, playful, and high-energy (would be great at agility training)
  • Best suited as an only dog or with an experienced owner

We care deeply about finding Dior the right home and want to ensure she is placed where she can be set up for long-term success with consistency, structure, and guidance.

If you are interested in this dog please email us at bobbiespitrescue@gmail.com or message us on socialmedia. We will forward your information to the owner who will be then in contact with you. BPRS has no further involvment in the adoption process unless requested by the owner and/or adopter.
