In January 2022, we pulled beautiful blue, pocket pittie puppy Jolee from a partner shelter. She had been picked up as a stray and was terrified to come out of her kennel. Once Jolee settled into her foster home, she blossomed and was adopted out just a month later.
Unfortunately, Jolee is being returned to our rescue because her adopter has developed severe allergies. She is now 2 years old, professionally trained, a regular at doggy daycare, good with dogs and cats (although she is protective of her food which is easily addressed by feeding her separately), loves her people and a bit overweight. We feel that Jolee would be an excellent addition to any family.

Beautiful Jolee found herself on a local county road and was picked up by animal control. When we met her first she was terrified and refused to come out of her kennel. Jolee has a sweet and gentle soul but is insecure.

Jolee is great with adults, especially children and enjoys running around with the children or just chilling on the couch.

Jolee gets along well with the cats in her foster home. She is great with dogs but can be a bit protective of her food if challenged. However, she responds immediately to correction. We are looking for an adopter who is able to work her through this insecurity to keep her and the other dogs balanced.

Jolee is crate trained and has done great with potty training. She is doing well on car rides and is great when giving a bath or trimming nails. Leash walking has improved tremendously since we pulled her from the shelter but still needs improvement.

Jolee's foster mom has her own training business (Enriched Canine Training) and is getting the benefit of learning all basics of training before she finds her new home.
