Update: Melo is being returned to the rescue. He is fantastic with other dogs, no cats. Melo is house and potty trained and has had professional training. He can get protective of high value toys. He will require a large breed, dog experienced home, children 12 and up. Melo came to us as an owner surrender after they discovered he was not suited for apartment living. Melo is a GIANT puppy who is currently 80 pounds and still growing. He is a very playful and a social guy who loves attention. Unfortunately, he was taken from his mom and litter before 8 weeks of age so he lacks the proper social skills when interacting other dogs and can't take the hint when they are done playing. Melo is crate trained, knows his basic commands and working to being house trained. He is currently placed into a foster home with a professional trainer to help Melo develop better social skills and learn how to be a well mannered boy. Due to Melo's size and rumbuctious puppy energy, we recommend Melo be placed in a home with children over the age of 10.
