Print an adoption flyer for Roy!
Roy was found running at large on a county road by one of our volunteers. He is a super sweet, crate and house trained and a huge cuddle bug. He is getting along well with people of all ages, especially children but is fearful (not aggressive) towards men.
Roy is getting along with dogs and cats
Roy is house and crate trained
Roy is an escape artist if he sees an opportunity. Absolutely no dog parks or off leash exercise in unfenced area. Roy will run off.
Roy is an energetic young adult and enjoys running and play time.
Roy will not be a good match for a first time dog owner. He will only placed in a home who has or had dogs before, can provide structure and training, understands how to keep him safe so he does not escape and run off (safe doorways etc.) and how to work with him through his fears.
Roy is most comfortable when he is around other dogs so we would love to place him in a home with another canine companion. Also, finding a home with children would make him very happy.
Roy loves to go on leashed walks but pulls and gets distracted easily. He is a fantastic passenger in the car. If you have a fenced in yard the fence must be a minimum of 6' tall.
We have enrolled Roy in a 2-week training class starting 01/18/21 to become a more structured boy. He will be able to go to an approved home after 02/01/2021.
