Every now and then the world stands still and a special little dog gets on. Oliver is one of those special dogs. Nothing in the world can weigh this little guy down.
- 'Ok, so I cannot see very well but I can still chase my canine friends through the yard and I can run real fast too.' - 'So I walk with a funny gait and my head is tilted, but that's okay cause I still get around just fine.' - 'Stairs are a bit of a problem, going up is fine, but down not so much, I will need help with that because my peripheral vision is not all that good.' - ‘And my hearing is not that good either, I am completely deaf.
We do not know what happened to Oliver but our vet suspects a congenital neurological defect or forced trauma to the cerebellum and also damage to the frontal lobe.
Oliver needs a home where he can go out frequently during the day, he knows to go potty outside but will have accidents if he cannot go out on a regular basis and will let you know by barking. A home with few stairs is a must.
Oliver also loves food and is a very eager when it comes to being given a treat so a home with older children is also strongly recommended.
Oliver is just a dog with some challenges but he loves life to the fullest, enjoys going for walks, being loved on and hanging out in the yard, preferably with a canine friend.
Oliver has severe allergies (dust and burch pollen) and needs to be on regular medication as well as weekly baths with special shampoo. He seems to be perfectly healthy otherwise.
